Downloadable Import Samples

This repository ships with a few geojson files (and a couple of generated worksheets) that you can use if you want to try out the data‑transfer features without creating your own data.

Starter samples bundled with the guide:

These files are intentionally small and contain a mixture of point, line and polygon geometries so you can exercise the viewport‑only vs "load all" toggle and the draft‑to‑layer workflow described on other pages.

Finding more sample data:

Most cities and regions publish open geospatial data (roads, boundaries, facilities, parks, transit, etc.) under open-government licences. Search for your city's open data portal — examples include Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa, New York, London, and many more. Look for files in GeoJSON, Shapefile, or CSV-with-coordinates format; any of these import directly into Aptli. Always check the portal's licence terms before using the data beyond training.
